The Rum Sour cocktail is delicious, and when tracing its’ origins, we have to start with the British Navy. To fight scurvy and malnutrition, British sailors often mixed their spirits with lime juice in a sip that isn’t that different from modern Daiquiri. This was the beginning of the whole sour family of cocktails.
For our version, we amp up the vitamin C with additional Grapefruit Juice and garnish with fresh mint. But don’t wait for fears of scurvy to mix this one up!
Ingredients
1 ½ oz Copalli White Rum
1 oz Grapefruit juice
¾ oz agave syrup
½ oz Campari
½ oz lime juice
Directions
Mix the ingredients in a glass and garnish with mint & grapefruit slice
