Meet the Scarlet Macaw

The Scarlet Macaw is arguably the most magnificent member of the parrot family. With their wide strong wings, they have been known to reach speeds of up to 35 miles per hour.

As recent as the mid 90s, Scarlet Macaws numbered only about 125 in Belize. Unfortunately, the Macaws are endangered, a victim of human greed as many have been taken for the pet commodity trade.
