Copalli Carbon Footprint Report
This third-party report reveals that the production of Copalli rum removes at least five times more carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) from the atmosphere than it emits on a per-bottle basis.
The full lifecycle analysis and soil carbon report, conducted by Earth Optics, shows that each bottle of Copalli rum has a net negative carbon footprint of -13kg CO₂e, setting us apart as a truly climate-positive spirits producer.
Located in the southern Belize rainforest, Copalli was conceived to have the lightest impact on the environment and the largest positive impact on the people and community. Made from just three ingredients: sugar cane harvested on-site at Copal Tree Farm, rainwater collected on the estate, and non-genetically modified yeast to start the fermentation process; the simplicity and sourcing of each of our ingredients ensure we only have a positive impact on the planet.
